Smartphone App Helps Winter Storm Drivers

If you live in the Midwest or on the East coast, you may be wondering when the snow (that usually accompanies old man winter) will finally arrive.

Residents of Texas however, have little to wonder as; they became practically (and ironically) the first people in America to get snow this winter.

Personally, the worst snowstorm I ever experienced was on interstate 94 on the way back to Chicago.  The weather was clear (with the exception of mild wind) early one January morning when I had just past the I-196 exchange on I-94.  I traveled this specific stretch of the freeway (from Detroit to Chicago) many times during graduate school so I knew the sign that welcomed drivers to Benton Harbor was about a minute past the I-196 exit ramp.

What Can Be Used to Stop Rust From Continuing to Form at the Bottom of a Bathtub?

If you have rust stains at the bottom of your bathtub, you’re not alone. This is a common occurrence and if treated early, is typically not a major problem. Once you discover what’s causing the rust, you can then prevent it from forming again.

If you have an older tub, the rust forming at the bottom of the bathtub could be caused by the iron found in the drain cover. However, since most sinks and tubs nowadays have rustproof drain covers, it could be your water that’s causing the rust instead.

The project would cover 96 acres at the northeast corner of Pierson Road and Southshore Boulevard with a five-story hotel, 75,000-square-foot commercial complex and a commercial equestrian arena.

Equestrian Sports Partners LLC needs several approvals, including land-use and zoning changes, a compatibility determination, a master-plan amendment and a conditional-use permit. The PZB board will pass its recommendations to the Village Council, which will hear most of the requests on during its Jan. 31 meeting. Final votes, however, on some of those requests wouldn’t come until later months.

Equestrian Sports, which is headed by Mark Bellissimo, has met fierce resistance from the Wellington Equestrian Preservation Alliance over its proposal.

The Alliance supports a dressage arena as part of the project but describes the hotel and commercial aspects as “completely contrary to the very nature and character of the Equestrian Preserve,” according to a Dec.
